Fits and starts…

I felt I had plateaued. I’d been running trails more and lost some pace. The only bright spot was a tough run in which I cracked 90 minutes for 10 miles. It was a slog.

My long easy run today started off feeling pretty good so I gave a shot at finishing a half in under 2 hours. Pleasantly surprised that I did it with time to spare. And it wasn’t that hard an effort apart from the last few miles when I was depleted from not fueling mid run.

Now I need to turn my sub-2 hour half marathon into a sub-4 hour marathon in Tokyo. I have a full training block to make it happen, so I’m optimistic.
